Margaret Gaffney, an Irishwoman was the first woman in the U.S.A. to
have a statue erected in her honour, in recognition of the great
work she did for orphans during the 1850’s in New Orleans. To show
our appreciation for Margaret we have dressed her in crisp Irish
Linens in her baker's clothing of browns with beige apron and cap.
She carries her bread basket containing some of her baking, scones.
Being our 2002 range she is made from fine porcelain and therefore
paler than the others dolls. Her story is included with her. Our
Margaret stands at approx 10" high.
